Audrey Paton

Audrey Paton, B.A. (hons), (nee Whyte), first worked at Highland Stoneware on summer placements in 1989 and 1990, while a student at Gray's College of Art, Aberdeen. During this time she modelled pieces of jewellery in porcelain. After graduating, she began working full time as a decorator. She also made a great contribution in the plaster mould-making department having developed the form for our old lasagne dish.

In her time as a decorator, Audrey has contributed various patterns to our range, more recently working on pieces specially designed for children, including 'Frogs', 'Sheep', 'Chicks', 'Puffin', 'Scottie Dog', 'Bunnies', 'Pigs', 'Snowy Bear'. She also worked very closely with David on the 'Edinburgh Skyline' range.

At the moment her spare time activities revolve around the needs of her two small children, although she has recently developed an obsession for the 'spinning' keep fit craze.
