Tracey Aird

Tracey Aird (nee Montgomery), M.A., graduated in ceramics at Gray's School of Art, Aberdeen, before gaining her MA at the Staffordshire Polytechnic. She started at Highland Stoneware in 1992, and her early work for the firm centred on the development of porcelain casting. Since then, she has concentrated mainly on decoration, and has consistently added designs to the Highland Stoneware range, being responsible for the Wild Berry, Spring Flowers, Fruit and Anemone patterns, and more recently Grasses, Mice, Bluebell, Machair and Thistle.

In addition to her obvious artistic ability, Tracey also has a firm grasp of the computer skills needed to exist in today's commercial market. She has been heavily involved in the development of our website, and designed and co-ordinated a great deal of our literature and advertising material.

Her fear knowing no bounds, she has also taken on the shared responsibility of firing the glost kiln.

When time and the demands of her young family allow, Tracey can often be found taking part in keep-fit activities at the local Leisure Centre. She is also part of their core fundraising team, and her face-painting skills are always in demand!
