Steve Paterson
Steve Paterson, B.A., (hons), studied ceramics at Glasgow School of Art and then set up his own pottery in Dumfries. He threw for Highland Stoneware on a freelance basis in 1997 and joined the firm full-time shortly afterwards. He spent a year on production throwing, but he has since started making large pots for exhibitions as well. Last year he added decorating to his skills and is an important member of the team at Ullapool. Steve plays guitar and sings with the group Stormbound at the Ferry Boat Inn, Ullapool, a hostelry well attended by the Ullapool potters!
